Once upon a time event planners were only hired by celebrities and the elite. Well, I'm happy to say we live in different times. Every year I meet with brides who have dreamed of planning their wedding. Unfortunately, busy work schedules, the responsibilities of everyday life, not to mention still wanting the resemblance of a social life, they find themselves with little time to plan their event. Many will start the process and soon find themselves overwhelmed and stressed with the abundance of choices and decisions to be made. Ask yourself, what is my time worth? Will the time I have to spend on planning my wedding be enough to produce the day of my dreams? or will I be so overwhelmed that I wind-up settling for less?
In addition to saving you time and preserving your sanity, an event planner can actually save you money. What many fail to see is this is events are based on relationships. Industry professionals are always looking for the opportunity to obtain future business from planners. This gives us the ability to negotiate a better fee for you. Think of your event planner as your own personal cheering squad, looking out for your interest while bringing your vision to life. This is a wonderful time in your life, enjoy the parties in your honor and leave the planning to a professional.

A Tiffany Blue Wedding

This happens to be one of my favorite colors. So I was thrilled when my clients decided to use it for their upcoming wedding. As you can see there are many ways to incorporate this color into your day. Don't limited yourself to the invitations, flowers or cake. When planning your event think outside the box, be creative, try something fun and unexpected.
I do think its important to take your venue into consideration when chosing a color scheme, you dont want to compete with the room. Choose a color palette that will stand out, but not clash with the exsisting decor. My clients, who are hosting their wedding at The Inn at Quogue are working with a neautral palette of ivories, champagnes and metallic beiges. They were concerned the tiffany blue wouldn't work but when I entered the room my thoughts were of tropical waters and sand.
You can also pair this color with a soft seagreen and for a punch of color try a vibrant pink.
